Case Discussion

Double bubble sign is an antenatal sign suggesting duodenal obstruction by web, stenosis or atresia. It appears in cross-section through the stomach body and duodenal bulb. In an oblique scan, the stomach can be seen dilated and the duodenal bulb with no dilatation of other segments of the duodenum. This sign can also be depicted on postnatal plain radiograph depending on gas shadows.
