Complaining of right palmer elongated nodule aligned to 4th finger - few months.
Patient Data
Right palm photo. Marking performed on both sides of the lesion. The lesion is not well seen in this photo. The lesion was better palpable than visible.
There is an elongated, heterogeneously hypoechoic lesion involving palmar fascia at the site of the clinically palpable lesion. It is aligned to 4th finger. It measures approximately 24 mm in length, 10 mm in width and up to 4 mm in thickness. There is no calcification/cystic change/vascularity in the lesion. Underlying flexor tendons are normal and show free movement. Adjacent neurovascular bundles are normal.
Case Discussion
Elderly female presented with a painless, elongated palmar nodule in the right hand for the last few months. Ultrasound shows focal thickening involving palmar fascia - palmar fibromatosis (Dupuytren contracture). She had two previous surgeries for left sided palmar fibromatosis.
