Presentation

Stiffness at the left-hand palmar aspect with radiation of the pain to the fourth and fifth fingers.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
mri

Focal thickening of palmar fascia with intermediate signal on T1/T2 sequences superficial to the fourth and fifth flexor sheaths, at the level of fourth and fifth metacarpal necks. 

Case Discussion

With regarding the clinical and MRI findings, palmar fibromatosis(Dupuytren's contracture) is the main diagnosis.

Dupuytren contracture, or palmar fibromatosis, is a fibrosing condition that characteristically presents as a firm nodularity on the palmar surface of the hand with coalescing cords of soft tissue on the webs and digits.
