Right frontal and parietal convexity enhancing extra-axial lesions

Modality: MRI

T1 pre-contrast imaging - diffuse loss of normal marrow signal in skull and C2.

Right frontal and parietal convexity enhancing extra-axial lesions.

 

PET: Diffuse metastatic disease.

CT: sclerotic right iliac metastases - biopsied

Case Discussion

The patient had a history of metastatic breast carcinoma (sclerotic iliac mets, biopsy proven).

Presumed multiple dural metastases mimicking meningiomas.

Subtle diffuse skull marrow replacement (T1 hypointense) compatible with metastases.
