Hyperdense straight sinus is seen, giving the cord sign appearance. In this case, the hyperdensity is also seen in the left transverse sinus and the superior sagittal sinus.
Case Discussion
When reporting dural venous sinus thrombosis it is important to try to identify cause if possible, e.g otomastoiditis.
It is also of paramount importance to identify complications, e.g. venous infarction ± hemorrhage.
