Comminuted fracture of the right iliac wing. No extension to the acetabulum or sacro-iliac joint. No other fracture identified.
Case Discussion
Duverney fractures are the eponymous name given to isolated iliac wing fracture. These are considered stable fracture and most commonly occur from a direct blow. However, they are often associated with other orthopaediac, neurological or abdominal blunt trauma injuries.
