Presentation

Patient came complaining of convulsions and delayed milestones

Patient Data

Age: Child
Gender: Male
mri

Atrophy of the right cerebral hemisphere with ex vacuo dilatation of the right lateral ventricle. Associated enlargement of the right frontal and sphenoidal sinus compartments as well as relative thickening of the right side of skull vault with relatively much bone marrow seen compared to the left side. Subtle right side falcine displacement is also seen.

Case Discussion

There are many causes for cerebral hemiatrophy, including congenital and acquired.

The presence of calvarial changes suggests the diagnosis of Dyke Davidoff Masson syndrome.
