MRI demonstrating a cortical-based well-defined mass in the left temporal region with T2/FLAIR high signal intensity and T1-WI iso to low signal intensity without surrounding edema and with overlying bony remodelling. Incomplete T2/FLAIR hyperintense ring represents the bright rim sign.
These imaging findings suggest a low grade left temporal lobe dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor (DNET). Possibilities also include ganglioglioma or pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma.
