Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

Low density parietal lesion with pronounced overlying bony remodelling.

Modality: MRI

Cortical parietal lesion with high T2 signal and low T1 signal demonstrates no enhancement. Prominent overlying skull remodelling noted. On T2 weighted images the lesion has a "bubbly" appearance, typical of DNETs.

Intraoperative images demonstrate the expansile mass on the surface of the brain with associated remodelling of the inner surface of the craniotomy.

Final histology: "Tumour neuroepitelial disembrioplastico" = translated as Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumour (DNET)
