Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor (DNET)

Patient Data

Age: 8 years
Gender: Male

Prominent bony remodeling of the inner table of the skull. 

Large cortical mass with markedly increased T2 signal and associated overlying bony remodeling. It is low on T1 with no enhancement. Features suggest the diagnosis of a DNET.

Case Discussion

Histology confirmed the diagnosis of Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor (DNET) - typical appearances.
