CT scans of the neck show ossified/thickened stylohyoid ligaments on both sides, seen extending from the base of the skull down to articulate with lesser cornua of the hyoid bone.
Case Discussion
Eagle syndrome is incidental CT image finding of head and neck, representing calcified stylohyoid membrane. Commonly affecting membranes on both sides. it is seen associated with various symptoms corresponding to vascular or nerve compression.
