Diagnosis almost certain


Empty right scrotal sac. Pain in the right lower abdomen - inguinal region.

Patient Data

Age: 16 years
Gender: Male

Empty right scrotal sac noted. Right testis is superficial to the rectus muscle. It is located near the lateral margin of the right rectus muscle.

Right testis is smaller than left. No focal lesion was seen in the right testis.

Normal intrascrotal left testis with normal size.

Nuclear medicine

The spermatic cord seen entering the testis with a twist. Right testis is upside down.

Case Discussion

Ectopic right testis located superficial to the rectus muscle with features suggestive of partial testicular torsion.
