The case is a pathology proved ulcerative colitis in a 60-year-old man with a history of abdominal pain, weight loss, and decreased appetite for two months.
MDCT scan and MRI have a leading role in the primary diagnosis and evaluation of the disease activity and complications such as fistula and mesenteric abscess. Management of the elderly-onset IBD can be quite different from the young age onset.
