There is an occult encephalocele of the posterior part of the left inferior temporal gyrus into the arachnoid granulation in the left transverse sinus. Empty sell noted. Note is also made of multiple confluent bilateral chronic small vessel ischemic changes (cerebral small vessel disease due to arteriolosclerosis).
Case Discussion
Occult encephalocele into dural sinuses is a rare entity and usually occurs due to intracranial hypertension. It can be an incidental finding, as in this case.
