A well defined rather rounded, mildly expansile, central marrow lesion is seen involving the proximal fibular metaphysis with overlying thinned cortex yet no destruction or extra osseous soft tissue mass. it exhibits low signal on T1, bright signal on T2 and STIR with foci of calcification display low signal on all pulse sequences.

Case Discussion

Imaging criteria as suggestive of Enchondroma which was later proved by histopathology after surgical removal of this lesion. The other differential diagnosis is clear cell chondrosarcoma which is more aggressive and shows adjacent marrow signal changes, cortical destruction and soft tissue mass.
