Case Discussion

Enchondroma of the base of the first metacarpal.

Final Diagnosis:

Right index finger, curettage: low grade cartilaginous neoplasm, consistent with enchondroma

Gross Description:

Multiple fragments of pale white glistening relatively soft and slippery tissue fragments that fragment upon handling. These tissue fragments aggregate to approximately 2 cm.
