Encysted right hydrocele. No fluid around the testicle. Normal testes and epididymides bilaterally.
Case Discussion
The right groin swelling differential of encysted hydrocele and inguinal hernia is a good differential in a 1 year old.
In this case, there is a cyst in the groin that does no communicate with the peritoneum or the tunica adjacent to the testicle. This is an encysted hydrocele.
