Presentation

h/o of trauma to the abdomen. h/o dyspnea. Admitted to the ICU

Patient Data

Age: 20
Gender: Female
Modality: X-ray

Homogeneous opacification of the left upper zone is noted.

The tip of the endotracheal tube (ETT) is seen to lie in the right main stem bronchus.

The tip of the nasogastric tube is not in the stomach.

Case Discussion

This is a case of right endobronchial intubation with resultant collapse of the left upper zone.
