Patient Data

Age: 65
Gender: Female
Modality: CT

Mass-like thickening with heterogeneous enhancement in endometrial cavity. The myometrium appears to be involved . No evidence of extra uterine invasion or metastasis on CT of the abdomen and pelvis.

Case Discussion

The findings in this 65 Y/O female with vaginal bleeding are consistent with endometrial cancer.

Histological findings are compatible with adenocarcinoma of endometrium , mucinous type.

Although CT has a role in assessing for distant metastases, but a dedicated pelvic MRI protocol is recommended for local staging and optimal assessment.
