Endometrial adenocarcinoma

Presentation

Pelvic pain and abnormal vaginal bleeding.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female
mri

There is a large (8 x 5 x 4 cm) enhancing endometrial lesion obliterating the endometrial canal, invading the myometrium showing heterogeneous enhancement and diffusion restriction. The lesion is reaching the uterine cervix region. No extension of the lesion is seen beyond the myometrium to the pelvis.

Adnexa is unremarkable. There is no free fluid in the cul-de-sac of Douglas.

Case Discussion

The features are suggestive of endometrial carcinoma: FIGO stage IIIc1.

Histopathology reported: Endometrial adenocarcinoma (endometroid type).
