Endometrial polyp

Presentation

Nearly continuous bleeding per vaginum for last 2 - 3 mths.

Patient Data

Age: about 32 yrs
Gender: Female
Modality: Ultrasound

There appears to be a large echogenic lesion in endometrial cavity. Thin fluid rim is noted seperating lesion from endometrial lining at few places. Cystic changes are noted within this echogenic lesion. Single vascular pedicle is noted suppying the lesion on left side.

Uterine myometrium shows normal echopattern.

Both ovaries are normal.

No adnexal mass lesion is noted on either side.

Case Discussion

Findings very much favour presence of an endometrial polyp.
