Endometrial polyps

Presentation

Gravida 4 woman with heavy periods since 2-3 years and anemia (Hct: 27%). Physical exam: Slightly enlarged uterus.

Patient Data

Age: 40
Gender: Female
Modality: Ultrasound

Sagittal and coronal transvaginal ultrasound shows two sub cm echoic masses in the endometrial cavity; one in the lower uterine segment and the other in the fundus. An incidental 4 cm leiomyoma is seen in the posterior fundus. Color doppler imaging shows questionable vascular stalk to the lower polyp.
