Endometriosis of the canal of nuck

Presentation

Painful inguinal lump.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

There is a right inguinal spiculated mass.

There is an irregular solid lesion in the right canal of Nuck, centered on the round ligament, and containing foci of hemorrhage (hyperintensity on T1 and T2 images) measuring 22 x 15 x 30 mm.

There is no inguinal or pelvic lymphadenopathy.

The ovaries and uterus are unremarkable.

No significant thickening of the uterosacral ligaments.

Case Discussion

The cyclical nature of the pain, along with the MRI findings from the MRI, is highly suggestive of endometriosis.
