Presentation

Altered GCS meriting the need for intubation. Post intubation check film.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Endotracheal tube tip in the right main bronchus.

Collapse of the left lung.

Right lung clear.

X-ray

Endotracheal tube repositioning.

Endotracheal tube tip suitable sited in the trachea.

The left lung has reinflated.  

Right lung clear.

Case Discussion

Always check the lines and tubes.   

A dramatic film from a malpositioned endotracheal tube and a quick return to normal after resiting of the tube.
