Presentation

Bilateral nasal obstruction.

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Female

Markedly enlarged nasopharyngeal adenoids markedly encroaching upon the nasopharyngeal air column and obstructing the posterior choana on both sides with retained secretions seen layered posteriorly within posterior nares.

Case Discussion

Plain X-ray is usually used for the assessment of enlarged nasopharyngeal adenoids. Sometimes CT is used for better delineation.
