Cardiac pacemaker with abdominal control box, 3 sets of epicardial pacing wires and defibrilation wire in the epicardial space posteriorly.
There is a cardiac pacemaker with abdominal control box and three sets of dual epicardial pacing wires. In addition, there is a thicker, insulated wire that loops over the top of the cardiac sillhouette (on the lateral view) and is the defibrillator component of the AICD.
Epicardial wires are used in paediatric patients rather than the intraluminal atrial and ventricular wires that are used in adult patients.
