Epidermal inclusion cyst - supraorbital region

Presentation

Right supraorbital region painless nodule for the last few months. Gradually increasing in size.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

There is a well-defined subcutaneous lesion in the right supraorbital region on the medial side. The lesion shows a thin-capsule, heterogeneous internal echopattern without calcification/ internal vascularity. The is no extracapsular extension of the lesion content. The perilesional fat shows a normal echopattern without hypervascularity.

Case Discussion

An adult male presented with a painless nodule in the right supra-orbital region. The clinical and the ultrasound features favored epidermal inclusion cyst. Surgical excision was done. The histopathology confirmed an epidermal inclusion cyst.
