Epidermoid cyst (cerebellopontine angle)

Presentation

Right sided face dysethesia.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Heterogeneous signal in the right cerebellopontine angle is demonstrated, which is high on T2, incompletely attenuates on FLAIR and of low T1 signal with no enhancement. It causes moderate local mass effect. There is high DWI signal and intermediate ADC values.

The patient went on to have a craniotomy which confirmed the diagnosis histologically.
