Epidural haematoma of thoracic and lumbar spine

Limb weakness

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

Large epidural collection causes severe narrowing of spinal canal and marked mass effect on spinal cord between C6 and L3. The collection has high T1 and low T2 signal with no discernible post contrast enhancement. Haematoma is considered the most likely diagnosis with characteristics not typical for abscess or malignant process.

Note is also made of left lung mass with multi-focal bone metastases.
