A well-defined round smooth fluid density lesion is seen expanding the right epiglottic vallecula at the level of the hyoid bone. After contrast administration no significant enhancement is noted.
Case Discussion
Non-enhancing fluid density lesion in the vallecula confirms the diagnosis of vallecular cyst. These are benign lesions which may be formed due to embryological malformation or ductal obstruction of a mucous gland.
