Prominent epiphyseal triangles of the distal femora bilaterally, seen on the lateral views.
Medial and lateral joint compartments and patellofemoral joints in both knees are well preserved.
Case Discussion
Epiphyseal triangles, a.k.a. Ludloff spaces, of the distal femora bilaterally are a radiological variant of no significance. They can only be seen on lateral radiographs of the distal femur. They are formed from the sagittal outlines of the femoral condyles and therefore no abnormality is appreciated on the frontal projections.
