In region of maximal tenderness (left lumbar region), there is ovoid, noncompressible, hyperechoic mass, without significant internal vascularity. Size of lesion is about 35 x 35 x 30 mm.
Local mass effect is noted without colonic wall thickening or ascites. No signs of diverticum is noted.
Case Discussion
Findings suggest epiploic appendagitis.
The main differential diagnosis is colonic diverticulitis.
