In the left lower quadrant, there is a nodular hyperechoic mass at the point of maximum tenderness, without internal vascularization, and with the surrounding hypoechoic line. No free fluid or bowel wall thickening was seen. These findings are characteristic of epiploic appendagitis.
Case Discussion
The patient had left lower quadrant pain, colitis was suspected, but the ultrasound showed focal fatty infiltration, with the characteristic findings of epiploic appendagitis.
