Two very similar cases showing a hyperechoic lesion (fat echogenicity), fixed to the peritoneum, exactly where the paroxysm of the pain was felt. This is characteristic of an epiploic appendagitis. There is subtle fat stranding associated with the appandagitis from local inflammation.
