Pains in the joints of both hands, most pronounced in the DIP joints.

Gender: Female
Modality: X-ray

Joint space narrowing and 'sea-gull' type erosions in the DIP joints of both hands, most pronounced in the right ring finger.

PIP and MCP joints normal.

Case Discussion

Erosive osteoarthritis is best characterised by sea-gull erosions, typically in the DIP joints of the hands.
