Esophageal atresia with distal TOF

Gas is present in the fundic region of stomach.
No abnormally dilated bowel loops.

By administering non ionic contrast material via feeding bottle, only proximal third of the esophagus was opacified showing gradual dilatation with a blind ending pouch and back flow consistent with esophageal atresia.
Case Discussion
The imaging findings are consistent with proximal esophageal atresia and distal tracheo-esophageal fistula (the most common type).
