Case Discussion

Essex-Lopresti fracture-dislocation is the combination of:

  • radial head fracture
  • dislocation or subluxation of the distal radial ulnar joint (with rupture of the forearm interosseous ligament)

It is analogous to the Maisonneuve fracture of the leg.
