A large well defined, soft tissue density lesion is seen occupying the left nasal cavity, smoothly expanding the ethmoidal air cells, displacing the medial wall of maxillary sinus laterally and nasal septum to the right side. It obstructs the left osteomeatal complex leading to retained mucus secretion within the left maxillary and frontal sinuses. The density of the lesion is similar to the density of the retained mucus (34 HU). No evidence of enhancement after IV contrast administration.

Case Discussion

Accidentally discovered mucocele of the left ethmoidal sinus confirmed post-operatively.
