Exostosis of the talus

Patient Data

Age: 15-20 years
Gender: Female
X-ray

Projecting from the anterior talar neck is a small lobulated well defined cortically based bone lesion. There is no adjacent lucency or calcification in the talar medullary bone, and the zone of transition is abrupt.

No associated fracture. There is no soft tissue mass.

Case Discussion

Findings typical for a small exostosis. The talus is an uncommon location for these benign bone tumors.
