Presentation

Falling broken glass on the dorsal surface of the left foot four days ago.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

The MRI sequences demonstrate a complete disruption of the extensor hallucis longus tendon at the level of the navicular bone. The distance between the ruptured ends of the tendon, which are retracted, is 45 mm. Edematous infiltration of the adjacent soft tissues is noted. No bony fracture is seen.
