Extra-peritoneal urinary bladder rupture

Presentation

History of RTA with direct trauma to the suprapubic region.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male

There is a defect in the left dome of the urinary bladder with resultant localized extravasation of contrast in retroperitoneal area, the left side of the scrotum and a minimal amount of contrast adjacent to the sigmoid colon and cecum.

Case Discussion

Features are those of extraperitoneal urinary bladder rupture. CT cystography is the best modality to assess urinary bladder extravasation.
