A biconvex epidural hematoma over the right frontal lobe which is homogeneously hyperdense.
There is evidence of midline shift and subfalcine herniation.
A fracture line is noted at the right temporal bone as well.
Case Discussion
Extradural hematoma is one form of extra-axial collection. It is usually associated with trauma, the shaped said to represent a lemon, as opposed to a banana appearance with a subdural hematoma.
In 95% of cases, an underlying fracture is present.
