Extradural hematoma with conservative management

This 6 year old boy fell and fractured his skull, with a resultant EDH.
Initial imaging demonstrates a bi-convex (lentiform) extraaxial hyperdense collection consistent with an EDH. On bone window a minimally displaced fracture of the overlying bone can be seen. Note how the posterior edge of the collection is bounded by the parieto-occipital suture.
The patient was treated conservatively. At 3 month follow up the EDH had essentially resolved with minor dural calcification remaining.
