Diffuse expansion of osseous medullary spaces, coarsened trabeculations of the ribs and vertebrae, and paravertebral extramedullary hematopoiesis.
Cardiomegaly, prominent main pulmonary artery (44 mm), splenectomy and high attenuation liver (iron overload) - all part of the underlying beta-thalassemia major.
