Presentation

Chronic ulcer with thick irregular margin on right side lower eyelid skin.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
ct

Irregular ulcerative margin and asymmetric skin thickening with thickness up to 8mm in right side lower eyelid more in middle to temporal side extended within related orbital septum and inferior oblique muscle is seen.

Case Discussion

The case illustrates pathology proved basal cell carcinoma (BCC) of the lower eyelid with orbital invasion. The BCC is locally invasive and has relatively high recurrence rates and the main treatment option is surgical excision.
