PET-CT

On follow-up PET-CT scan the previously seen hypermetabolic focus is not visualized.

Case Discussion

The hypermetabolic focus in the right lung upper lobe without any CT correlate seen on the 1st PET-CT scan vanished on the follow-up PET-CT scan likely representing an FDG embolism. The other differential of this hypermetabolic activity is that of early infective/inflammatory changes.
