Faceted gallbladder stones - turtle back appearance

Known patient of endometrial carcinoma underwent a CT scan for follow up.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years

Multiple gallbladder stones, without signs of cholecystitis.

Note: multiple left para-aortic lymph nodes enlargement, most likely metastatic in nature.


Case Discussion

When the gallbladder is filled with stones of the faceted type; it looks like a turtle back.

Faceted stone means that the stone has flattened sides.
