Small lobulated soft tissue mass measuring 21 x 13 x 7 mm, centered on the mastoid segment of the left facial nerve with intraparotid extension (extratemporal segment). It elicits an isosignal to the cortical grey matter,, heterogeneous signal on T2 with vivid enhancement on post-contrast sequences.
Case Discussion
MRI features of a vividly enhancing mass centered on the mastoid segment of the facial nerve with intraparotid extension along the extratemporal segment, suggestive of facial nerve schwannoma.
