Fecaloma with stercoral colitis

Presentation

Chronic constipation with abdominal discomfort.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Large amount of fecal impaction distending the rectum and sigmoid colon (diametre up to 12 cm) with mild mural thickening, compressing and displacing the uterus and urinary bladder anteriorly. No extraluminal gas seen.
