Presentation

Patient presented at emergency department with sudden headache. No neurologic dysfunction.

CT scan shows bilateral symmetric calcifications involving globus pallidus, putamen, caudate nucleus, thalami, and subcortical white matter. 

Case Discussion

The patient has already been diagnosed with familial Fahr's disease based on family history, previous neuroimaging findings and other laboratory investigations.
